This course provides an excellent grounding in the marketing of investment properties. It includes a case study listing of a small apartment building with a detailed examination of income and expenses and how to obtain the information which may not be available from the seller.
It covers the nine most common methods that investors use to maximize their investment; an explanation of industry jargon; buyer and seller motivations; finding buyers and sellers; and sources of financing. The Income Approach to value and other methods of appraisal are discussed together with investors’ “rules of thumb”; unit values; capitalization rates; return on investment; and how you can market the property.
